In Memory: Loren F. Lundy

Loren F. Lundy (August 31, 1909-March 17, 2010) 100 years of age, passed away March 17 after joyfully participating in the St. Patrick's Day parade.  Saturday, April 17, 2010 a reception for family and friends will be from 12:30- 2:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m., at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS.  Loren is survived by his wife of 72 years, Metta Lundy, daughter Sharon Lundy, son Sherman Lundy (Beverly), two grandchildren, Paul Lundy and Carolyn Platek (John), two great-grandchildren, Hadley and Harlan Patek, several cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.  Loren retired from Mid-West Terminal Warehouse (over 50 years employment), a longtime member of Ararat Shrine, Blue Lodge, York Rite and Swope Park Lodge #617, Transportation Club, RARE Group, Sons of Confederate Veterans, the "Old Geezers" Group and several civic clubs and organizations.  A special thank you to Esther Carrillo, Joyce Foreman and his doctors.
