Stanley Edgar Boyer, 74, of Independence, Mo., passed away March 9, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs, Mo. Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 Lee's Summit Road in Independence, Mo. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., with Masonic services at 7:45 p.m., on Friday, March 12, 2010, at the church. Stanley is survived by his wife of over 31 years, Cheryl Boyer; daughters Laurie Boyd (John), Cherri Bates (Ted), Debbie Davoren (Kevin); sons Russell Boyer, Garry Boyer (Brenda), Larry Boyer (Dana), Scott Boyer; 11 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Vicki Nagel (Brian). Stanley was in the automobile industry for over 30 years in the Kansas City area, and also worked at Adesa Auto Auction in Lee's Summit, Mo., for 15 years. He was a member of the Independence Blue Lodge #76, Scottish Rite and Ararat Shrine. The family wants to extend a special thank you to all the nurses on 2 East at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs, Mo., for all their loving care and support.
