Sgt.
Bryan Price and family following the presentation of a
check for $6419.61. From left to right is representative
George Romesburg of the Benton County Scottish Rite Club,
Don Comer of the Masonic Lodge #653, President Kenny Schick
of the Warsaw Shrine Club, Terry Bresette, and Bill Banes
of the Warsaw Shrine Club. The presentation ceremony on
May 13, 2007 held at the Warsaw Shrine Club pavilion,
culminated fundraisers including an auction and breakfast
benefit held jointly by the three organizations. Many
additional donations were received from Master Masons
and the Warsaw community. Sgt. Price was severely injured
and paralyzed from the waist down when a bomb exploded
under the Humvee he was riding in while on duty in Baghdad,
Iraq. His wife and 1 yr. old daughter join him in this
photo. He remains on active duty while going through a
long-term rehabilitation process and more surgery. There
were few dry eyes when the check was presented and all
present felt humbled before this gallant man. Bryan recently
finished his 3rd degree in Free Masonry. Master Mason
Bryan Price expressed interest in becoming a Shriner.
Immediately the hat was passed and $575 additional funds
were received. These funds will pay for his petition fees,
ARARAT Dues, his Fez, and lifetime memberships in the
Warsaw Shrine Club for Bryan and his dad. It was beautiful
day for more reasons than one. |
