Shown
below are photos of our sojourn to North Kansas
City Bowl for the Shrine Bowling Tournament
on Sunday, March 25th. It is a tradition that
the senior member of the Divan present, open
the festivities by throwing the first ball.
Since our Potentate Illustrious Sir Paul Black
was in attendance, the honor was bestowed upon
him, naturally.
After a prayer by tournament spokesman Noble
Tony Broome, those assembled joined in the Pledge
of Allegiance, with colors presented by our
own Legion of Honor.
Accompanying photos show the Divan attendees,
Illustrious Sir Paul Black Potentate 2007, Richard
M. Floyd 1st Ceremonial Master, Fred A. Troxel
Marshal, and Maurice Camerlynck Outer Guard.
Photos are also included of the Potentate preparing
to bowl the opening, and the proud Illustrious
Sir posing with the “green” that rolled the
FIRST STRIKE of the day! And I’m sure there
was no pressure, as the WHOLE BOWLING ALLEY
waited for his swift delivery!.........................fat |
