The Harem was the third unit to be formed at Ararat Shrine. On January 6, 1915 it was organized. In March 1952, the Harem was named as official custodians and guards of the Temples colors.

The Harem has three main responsibilities for Ararat Shrine; ceremonial, color guard and parade and Shrineta, which provides the food for Shrine events.

This is the first Unit you see in all Ararat Shrine parades.
