The Pipes and Drums of Ararat were formed in 1973.  Since that time, they have maintained the dignity, military bearing and pride of the unit in the wearing of their kilts.

A Noble wishing to join the Pipes and Drums will find a standard of excellence in marching, piping and drumming. The members of this unit offer to teach new members to become proficient in piping and drumming.

The Pipes and Drums of Ararat have successfully competed in the Central States Pipe Band competition and won first place numerous times.
